Entertainment Weekly has the first look at Quentin Tarantino’s highly anticipated Django Unchained starring Jamie Foxx as a slave liberated by Christoph Waltz and their efforts to free Foxx’s wife, Kerry Washington, who’s held at a plantation owned by a sadistic f-ck played by Leonardo DiCaprio.

What do you think Tarantino antebellum dialogue will sound like?

I can’t wait.

Leo, as we know, has been trying for 15 years to kill Jack Dawson, Heartthrob. And I wonder if he didn’t throw himself into the role of Calvin Candie with that in mind, unconsciously. Watching Leo become a sociopath racist will be a lot of fun. I feel like this might elevate his talent to a new level. Because if it’s one thing Tarantino knows, it’s a good villain. A great villain. Look what he did with Hans Landa in Inglourious Basterds. Now that he has Nazi covered, you can imagine how he might imagine a Southern slave owner.
