Let’s check in with another man dating a member of the Kardashian-Jenner family, and check in on his professional achievements.

Last week, ahead of the Australian Grand Prix, the first race of the Formula 1 season, I posted about whether or not Kim Kardashian would be seen in the paddock in Melbourne, and also about the cautious optimism surrounding Team Ferrari after the flop that was 2025. Ferrari was looking good in testing, but none of that matters when it actually comes time to race.

Experts had been predicting a strong showing from Mercedes and they delivered, finishing one/two with George Russell and Kimi Antonelli. But Charles Leclerc and Lewis were third and fourth respectively, and it could have been even better but for problems with race management. Still, there is optimism, a lot of optimism, that Ferrari can challenge for even more podiums this season – which is something no one was saying last year. As Lewis put it, “we’re in the fight” and by all accounts, he’s feeling pretty f-cking good.

Lewis looked, to me, like he was in high spirits all weekend. And he went viral during one of the audience events when he talked about his two new adopted cows. Because one of them is called Max, LOL.

You heard Lewis mention Roscoe there – it’s been about six months since Roscoe died, sob. The paddock is missing him, and obviously Max and Ombre, Lewis’s cows, can’t exactly join on the circuit the way Roscoe was a steady presence in his prime. Puppies require their own dedicated time, and Lewis’s priority right now is on the track. The Chinese GP is this weekend, which is why it’s unlikely (though not impossible) for him to be at the Oscars. And probably unlikely that Kim will be in Shanghai with him because, like, would she want to miss being in LA on the most heatscore weekend of the year?
