Just in time for the weekend – a little Mimi to start it off right. And we need her. We so need her.

Mimi and her husband showed up at the Fresh Air Fund Salute to American Heroes last night in New York. It was… more of a cocktail affair. Mimi of course decided a white bedazzled ballgown would be appropriate.

LOVE the photo of her pushing Nick behind her. Where he belongs.

Reminds me of when Laura and I were at that Grey Goose party during Oscar week and spent almost half an hour gaping, along with the entire restaurant, at Mimi’s encounter with Beyonce while Nick lurked behind her, relegated to the background.

We actually do a really great imitation of it. Next time we’re together, perhaps we should video, put it on YouTube. Maybe at the Smut Soiree.

Anyway, Mimi’s been riding a high on Precious and is currently working on a new album titled Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.

By the way – have you ever read her Twitter? It’s f-cking amazing. Like, every time she tweets, she tells you what the octave is. Don’t you know? She has 5. Or is it 7?
