Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were named Womenswear Designer Of The Year last night for The Row at the CFDA Awards in New York. Was is that alligator backpack that retails for $34,000?

In selecting the Row and MK and Ashley as the award recipients, does that mean we must believe that they actually do the sketching? Please Fashion People, tell me how and what to think.
They call this event the Oscars of the Fashion Industry. And they served blinis and lobster rolls. Supposedly some of the guests were complaining that there wasn’t enough food. I find this hard to believe given the demographic.
