May 30, 2025 - Shout-Outs
Today, May 30th, is World MS Day. Canada has one of the highest rates of MS in the world with 12 Canadians being diagnosed daily. Moreover, most people are diagnosed between the ages 20-49.
Our fellow LaineyGossip reader and Squawk member Kathryn has been living with multiple sclerosis and volunteering with MS Canada for the last 8 years. She wrote us in advance of World MS Day to tell us that there are a few things that help her cope with her MS, including our community at LG and The Squawk (we’re honoured to be a part of your day), the podcast MeSsy with Christina Applegate and Jamie Lynn Sigler (which offers compassion and support with a side of inside baseball - both women are superb storytellers and very funny), and Merrylegs, her English Cocker Spaniel, who “is slowly growing into her ears” (attached alongside Kathryn).
If you’re interested in finding out more about MS research, to find support, or if you’d like to donate, please visit:

Funds raised help improve the lives of people living with MS across Canada, no matter where they live, through a variety of support programs, research breakthroughs, and advocacy.
Thank you, Kathryn, for highlighting these important links and for making us a part of your routine.
