Megan Thee Stallion has dropped a new song featuring RM from BTS. It’s called “Neva Play” and his verse is entirely in English and I love all the Asian and specifically Korean references. “For Asia”, thank you. PSY is shouted out. 

But this is my favourite line, “The law, her win”, which where Megan is concerned I think is obvious what he’s talking about. RM isn’t playing when it come to all the misogynistic f-ckery that’s been directed at Megan after she was shot and vindicated in court. Also very into the tone of his voice on this track. He’s growling, it’s sexy. It probably would have killed me if he was actually able to film this video in person. But this version works too. Because I like how her ass is literally a weapon, firing at her enemies. “Check the credits, you know who run it. When the flow this hard, this heavy, Kotex.” I’m never going to be mad when a woman works her period into a song. (Rolling Stone)

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is projected to open at $90 million or more this weekend and for some of us our number one takeaway from that is… WINONA RYDER, you will always be famous. I’m always here for a Winona Ryder appreciation post and Jen Maravegias has written an excellent one, although I do have one quibble: her hair in Reality Bites was perfect and iconic and I wore it like this for over a year so yes, everyone else can get a haircut, but not Lelaina Pierce! Selena Gomez is making headlines today and she’ll be making headlines again next week when she arrives in Toronto in support of Emilia Pérez at TIFF. This film made a big impact at TIFF with all four of its actresses winning the best actress award and there’s definitely an award season push behind it. After TIFF, Selena heads to the Emmy as a nominee. So Selena is killing it on television with Only Murders in the Building and on film and also… she’s now officially a billionaire.
