Megan Thee Stallion just made Nickelback hotter than they've ever been with new Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Dill Pickle spot

I know it’s an overused expression… but to me, this is Important. I take it personally. It’s the collaboration we never knew we needed – and it’s an advertisement, free advertising in this case, but if you’ve been reading this website basically since its inception, you know that doing work for Cheetos for free is nothing new to me. I have been an unpaid Cheetos employee for 20 years. Because I f-cking love Cheetos.

Cheetos have been with me during my most important professional milestones – the Oscars, just before interviewing the Prime Minister, just before running the Olympic torch; I am constantly accompanied by Cheetos, and I am also constantly adding Cheetos to my meals. Congee and Cheetos? It’s delicious. Stir fry noodles and Cheetos? Excellent. Ramen and Cheetos? Always. Shepherd’s pie and Cheetos? It’s a vibe. Why would Cheetos have to pay me? I wouldn’t pay me either, LOL.

They are, however, paying Megan Thee Stallion and Nickelback – their new spot just dropped this morning announcing the arrival of Cheetos Flamin’ Hot Dill Pickle. Meg is the one who inspired this new flavour because she has always talked about shoving a Flamin’ Cheeto into a pickle and now we have it in a bag, THANK YOU MEG.

As for the Nickelback assist, well, sorry to be corny but the wordplay here is cute. They’ve made it cute, and hilarious. The video is funny! “Are your fingers red yet?” took me out, LOLOLOLOLOL. And the twerking on a surfboard, stop it. Give them the Advertising Oscar, Megan Thee Stallion just made Nickelback cooler – or hotter – than they’ve ever been. Chad Kroeger was fed a Cheeto by Megan Thee Stallion. He has been blessed!

It’s great to see Megan diversifying and winning. She’s on Broadway right now, she’s producing and starring in reality competitions, she’s getting a cheque from Cheetos which works for her bank account but also her brand – this is organic celebrity engagement, everything we’re seeing in this promotion is 100% to her personality, her attitude, her image. And, of course, she’s in love. Meg is busy and booked but most importantly, she’s happy.

But also, um, while we’re here? I could totally f-ck with anchovies and mayo Cheetos, I said what I said!
