We’ve gone from subtly Instagram official to… well… let me come back to what we’re calling it in a minute. If you missed it, Meghan Thee Stallion posted a video of herself unboxing Labubus yesterday while sitting on Klay Thompson’s lap. She says “my man” gave them to her. And she spends eight minutes bouncing around on his lap backwards. Also it’s giving me anxiety the chaotic way she is tearing those boxes and bags apart.

Meg has since deleted it but, like, not before it made its way around the internet – by now we’ve all seen it, we know. (You can see it here.) But there are also photos of them holding hands after dinner in NYC last night so they are out here premiering the sh-t out of their lusting love. Or loving lust. Whatever. Let her have her summer romance and we’ll see if they can keep the heat up into the fall.

As for the officialness of this, our producer Ryan joked today at ETALK that these two have invented a new term: “Labubu official”, ha. I liked it.

Here’s Megan out in New York today in jorts and red hair, red everything.

What else happened today…

Speaking of Labubus though, they’re now trying to start a viral movement to warn people against them because they’re allegedly demonic and have a connection to the Exorcist. Oh for f-ck’s sake. Labubus are from Hong Kong, I wish these people did their homework and connected it to a Chinese demon if they wanted to manufacture a controversy. (Pajiba)

Rita Ora, as usual, is doing too much with this look which is what Rita does, that’s her style vibe. Which, like, fine, but that jacket is gorgeous and it’s not being given its moment. (Go Fug Yourself)

Breaking Love Island USA news but not surprising – Iris and TJ hooked up the minute she got back. Please, it’s not like Pepe wasn’t thinking about Hannah. (TMZ)

“Goonies never say die!” And one of them might become the next SAG-AFTRA president! (Celebitchy)

As I’ve been saying about Adolescence, it was pretty much a lock for a lot of Emmy nominations. And now here we are, 13 of them, and this is so great for Stephen Graham. But the show almost didn’t happen. Here’s Vulture’s piece about the show getting rejected…and then greenlit…and now an Emmy favourite. Adolescence will win almost everything, I think. (Vulture)
