I can’t say that Miley’s album new album, Something Beautiful, is on repeat on my headphones, I like it, I don’t love it. What I do love, though, is her styling during this album cycle. Right from the beginning she told us she was in high fashion mode and she’s had access to almost everything she wants – so much Mugler and Alaïa and McQueen and more.
Here she is in Paris today, and while I really enjoy this printed sweater dress with the feathers at the neck and the perfect shoe choice to go with it with the ankle band and a heavy buckle, the detail that finishes it all off is the hair. Specifically the very 80s side part teased high swirl. There’s a whole generation of a certain vintage who have hair like this in their yearbook photos. Pages and pages of it in fact. I wasn’t in high school quite yet when this hair was at peak rage but I remember all the high school girls on the bus I used to take getting on every day rocking their hair this way with jelly bands up and down their wrists.
I love it on Miley with this outfit, the outfit was made for this style.

Warren Beatty slept with everyone but did he sleep with Barbra Streisand? Barbra continues to not be able to remember and her quote about this is… well… it’s queen sh-t. “I know I slept in the bed with him, but I can’t remember if we actually had penetration. I swear to God, I can’t. There are certain things I block out.” I know this is so juvenile to say but also you know what they say about what you can’t remember. (Pajiba)
