Miley Cyrus is on the Avatar: Fire and Ash soundtrack. The new song is called “Dream As One” and she’s been hyping it for a while. It’s a power ballad, kinda feels retro, the way movie power ballads sounded in the 80s… although now that I’ve listened to it a couple of times, I can’t say it’s hitting me the same way. Still, since it’s Miley and because Avatar is expected to make so much money at the holiday box office, “Dream As One” is contending for a best original song Oscar nomination. 

 

She was also in the conversation last year for her song “Beautiful That Way” from The Last Showgirl, a much smaller film. Ultimately that didn’t happen but her chances might be better considering Avatar is in an entirely different tax bracket. 

 

Miley did attend the Oscars last year, as a presenter. And that’s where she and Maxx Morando walked their first ever red carpet.

Miley and Maxx have been together since 2021 and last night they were at the Avatar: Fire and Ash premiere where she made it pretty obvious that they’re engaged. There’s been some speculation about an engagement and with the way she’s showing off the ring, even though there’s no official confirmation, most are assuming that it is what everyone thinks it is.

If that wasn’t enough, his Maxx’s father apparently posted about it and congratulated them. Dad, are you media trained?! 

 

Miley is wearing Gucci, she’s been an ambassador since 2021, the same year she and Maxx started their relationship. It was at the Gucci Love Parade event where they first went public. If they are engaged, then, and if there is a wedding, Gucci’s probably at the top of the list for the dress, not just because she reps the house but also because there’s a link there to their romance.
