Miley Cyrus is talking about jobs she lost because of pretty mild teen behaviour. She was fired from Hotel Transylvania because of a penis cake. Presumably, she was replaced by Selena Gomez and this is a perfect example of how child stars are both punished and kept in check.

If you were an up-and-comer and knew that a big star like Miley lost a job, it would be a cautionary tale. Even though it’s literally over a pastry.

Haven’t read the book, not sure what this is about, absolutely looking forward to watching.

And Just Like That... continues to torture us but it’s not the show that baffles me, it’s Sarah Jessica Parker. She is such a thoughtful, artistic person and I understand she’s making bank but is that the whole reason she’s doing it? In her Stern interview, she seems so removed from the show and says she never watched SATC or this new series. It’s not unusual for actors to not watch their work but she’s also a long-time EP and the whole thing is built around her. Her recent article in The Guardian is interesting as she talks about how influencers have impacted Manhattan and it kind of hit me that this is missing from the show: these rich women could be anywhere, in any city. Their wealth has insulated them too much.

Dua Lipa confirmed her engagement and it got me thinking: does any pop star have a better time than Dua Lipa? No nasty fandom, no crushing pressure, no podcast appearances endlessly picked apart – she just reads her books and travels and tours and releases pop music. Looks fun.

Chris Pratt is producing a show for Amazon starring John Owen Lowe (Rob Lowe’s son), who is also acting as co-writer and co-showrunner. The Lowe and Pratt families are pretty tight, which makes sense. John will also need to carve out some time for his favourite hobby: dogging his dad on Instagram.

Another season of Big Little Lies. Weren’t we kind of tired after the second season? I know we got the Meryl Streep screaming meme but I think a limited run is ideal for a book adaptation.
