Ariana Madix and the best hair clips

Ariana Madix is making the rounds in New York right now and so are most of the cast members from Love Island USA S7 because they’re filming the reunion episode this week which will then air on Peacock and Crave in Canada on August 25. And considering how f-cking messy it was when they were on the island, and how much messier it got when they all left the island, and how even messier it’s been leading up to the reunion, it can only be total mayhem when they all gather in one place again, right? 

Right now the drama is whether or not Huda, probably the most polarising islander on Love Island USA of all time, will show up. They’re saying she’s skipping it. But it would also be so Huda to say she’s skipping and then make an entrance. 

Then again, if you’re a member of Nicolandria hive, you don’t give a sh-t about Huda because your faves are keeping you well fed. I should say keeping us well fed – I can’t help it, I’m a believer, I am powerless to this sh-t!

Nic and Olandria did not win but after leaving the villa, they are the couple that has seemed to have the most success. The fans are obsessed and the brands are signing cheques, and at this point they’ve probably made more than the $100K that the show gives away. Of course, there is no way that the network doesn’t know this so expect Nicolandria to get a lot of air time during the special. Also expect that there will likely be a LOT of people watching the special. 

Last week it was confirmed that Love Island USA set a Nielsen streaming record, becoming Peacock’s first #1 show ever. This is HUGE for Peacock and the show was already huge for them after last summer. But to claim #1 over and above all other shows on all other platforms is a massive victory and it tells you the impact Love Island USA has had. Which is good news but also bad news because season 7 was not well-produced and fan behaviour was out of control. And yet, since the series is such a winner, how much will they change or correct? Also, will they get greedy and try to do a winter version? 

On the good side, well, I only want good things for my beloved Ariana. Love Island USA has been such a bonus to her career – she’s the least controversial thing about it because everyone who watches pretty much adores her. Ariana will be co-hosting the reunion with Andy Cohen and I cannot wait to see what kind of a look she serves because, seriously, our girl took it to the next level this summer. And that f-cking hair!

Ariana works with Carl Bembridge, he’s a great follow for hair inspiration, and he gave us one of the best ponytails I have ever seen.

As you can see, Ariana’s hair, while arriving at Seth Meyers yesterday, wasn’t quite done. As you can also see… 

She’s wearing the hair setting clips that I have been coveting FOREVER. They’re made by That Girl That Did Your Hair, and they are constantly sold out. BTS in this case stands for “behind the scenes” but in my case, duh, it would be for BTS, as in RM, Jin, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. What I like about these ones is that they’re longer and wider than the usual flat setting clips that you find in a usual kit. Plus, they’re solid and practical because the metal isn’t exposed. You’ll note that the plastic covers the levels where there’s usually exposed metal and in my experience it can catch on to hair and pull. With plastic, the hair slides over easier, especially when you’re releasing the claw. This is one of the reasons why so many celebrities and their stylists have been seen using this clip. And why they’re so f-cking hard to buy!
