What Else?
The Ringer has several tribute articles about David Lynch and they’re all worth your time. My favourite is Adam Nayman’s piece because I’m also a reporter and it’s loosely, sort of, about interviewing Lynch but mostly about how interviewing him about his work, and engaging with his work is about, well, engaging with yourself. As corny as that sounds. But isn’t that the point of art? (The Ringer)
The Fug Girls are time-machining us back to the Critics Choice Awards from 2012-13 and while there are a few standouts (Marion Cotillard and Michelle Williams for me), most of the looks are kinda dull when you consider them through a 2025 fashion lens. At the time, though, it was probably much more exciting. (Go Fug Yourself)
Adrien Brody won his Oscar and then kinda hit a slump that lasted quite a long time. We simply haven’t heard much about him or from him in years. Now that he’s one of the contenders for a Best Actor Oscar for his performance in The Brutalist (he’s looking like the frontrunner right now), it’s almost like Adrien’s catching us up on over a decade of his thoughts – including which parts he was interested in playing and the ones he was rumoured to be up for. Like the Joker. (Pajiba)
Henry Cavill and Natalie Viscuso are parents now and I missed the news that they were about to be parents and that was probably the plan. I know we’ve said this about a lot of celebrities but his fans, or the people who say they’re not fans but follow him obsessively, can be super toxic. (Celebitchy)
This headline made me laugh: “I feel personally attacked by rain showerheads” because I also think they’re so … limiting. Twice or three times a week, maybe. But if I had one of those every day it would ruin my hair. (PopSugar)
