Maria noted yesterday in her Celebrity Social Media post that the industry moves on relatively quickly after the Oscars. Because, of course, the business doesn’t stop. And the business is not just in Hollywood. The minute they started striking the red carpet outside the Dolby, everyone was flying off to Paris Fashion Week and for the next few days, this will be where many of our sightings will be generated.

Last night was the Grand Dîner du Louvre, which some people call the French Met Gala. I mean, hardly, the guest list isn’t nearly as ambitious but there were a few notables in attendance. Like Naomi Campbell who swanned in as a grande dame.

Naomi’s presence at any fashion week is not a surprise. But Tyra Banks? Tyra hasn’t been on this circuit in a minute. But she closed the Victoria’s Secret fashion show last fall and she just confirmed on the cover of ESSENCE that after a long break, she is returning to modelling.

It was announced last week that Tyra’s signed with IMG as Tyra said in a statement

“ReturnIng to my IMG family feels like coming home – but this isn’t just a comeback, it’s a new beginning I’m an ice cream entrepreneur now, but everywhere I go – across countries, across continents – people have been asking me to return to modeling – on the streets, on social media, in my DMS, and in interview after interview. And now I’m ready. I’m stepping back in with fresh eyes, electrifying energy, and a drive to make game-changing moves. And yes, I’m ready to slay the runway again. The best is yet to come.”

So here she is, at the Louvre, back with the fashion community in Paris last night.

Which means the fashion community once again has to make space for both Tyra and Naomi, even though everyone knows they don’t f-ck with each other. Or they didn’t f-ck with each other. Naomi has said they’ve buried the beef and posted, admiringly, about Tyra after the Victoria Secret show. If the feud is still there, simmering below the surface, well, these are two women who can be volatile and they’re moving in the same circles again. If the feud is really behind them though, this is great. We can all dream that, one day, they’ll walk side by side down the runway together to close a show and our heads will explode.

Other guests at the Louvre last night …

Michelle Yeoh, continuing to work that wig game. Seriously, her wigs over the last year have been outstanding. And Michelle is the only one of very few who can do the bleached eyebrows. They look amazing!

Also great to see Keira Knightley, joined by her husband James Righton. If Keira’s in town it must mean she’ll be at the Chanel presentation. Keira + Chanel has never been a disappointment and also, she and James are aging, together, by not aging. They look like they did ten years ago.

My favourite look from the night – Zoey Deutch. This is the level of drama I expect in Paris, outside the Louvre. The big bubble over the cascading curtains is gorgeous under the ruche and wrap detail up top and the hood is the perfect finishing touch. It’s the best of Giambattista Valli.

And here’s Gigi Hadid with Jeremy Scott, in a dress that’s mashed together from three previous Moschino designs, with hair to match. Super into this grey tone on her, I hope she keeps it for a while.

Finally…

The Beckhams. Victoria’s already in Paris ahead of her next collection and this black gown on her, from her own house, is probably the best red carpet dress she’s ever designed.

VB’s show will be livestreamed on Friday and I’m sure the Netflix docuseries camera will be filming too. They started shooting last August so I wonder if this is the narrative that they’ll be following – Victoria’s process, the challenges and the triumphs, leading up to the presentation. Timing seems right for it?
