Like so many celebrities, including her ex-husband Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman is in Paris. She, Keith Urban, and their two daughters, Sunday and Faith, were seen at the skate event the other day and today they’re at beach volleyball. 

 

Nicole is sun protected! Respect, although I don’t know how she can stand it in that heat in jeans and a long-sleeved blouse. I know the blouse is light but even still, I couldn’t survive. That would be a fainting spell for me for sure. 

 

Last night Nicole and Sunday were at an Omega event in her capacity as brand ambassador. I love her outfit – a white crop over a skirt – and as you can see, Sunday Rose, who just turned 16 earlier this month, is almost as tall as her mother and seemingly stepping further and further into the spotlight. She was with Nicole a few weeks ago at Paris Fashion Week for the Balenciaga presentation and now again in Paris here. It’ll be interesting to see whether or not these are just one-offs, accompanying her mom to events, or if there are bigger ambitions as she gets older. 

 

For now, though, it’s a bit of work on a family holiday before Nicole gets back to work at the end of August when she heads to the Venice Film Festival for Babygirl. I first posted about Babygirl in January during production, mentioning that the title was interesting because it’s also Keith’s nickname for Nicole and now she’s starring in a movie called Babygirl. The subject matter is less wholesome – Nicole’s playing an executive who has an affair with her younger intern. This is workplace mess, power dynamics, and gender politics. And sex. With a hot guy. No doubt it’ll be a complicated, provocative performance, perhaps with similarities to Cate Blanchett in Tár, exactly the kind of role that Nicole can serve. I can’t wait for this one, as I wrote in January, we are about to be fed excellence, and hopefully a lot c-nt. 

So. Venice red carpet. Does Nicole come with the whole family? Keith and her daughters? None of them? Or just Sunday?
