Jennifer Lopez was part of Vogue World: Milano last night, representing Dolce & Gabbana, one of the biggest Italian fashion houses. She’s been tight with D&G for years and she’s a slamdunk choice to walk a runway, particularly this runway, which was meant to be a Production.
Nobody needs to worry about JLo delivering – she knows what to do on the catwalk.
The design was inspired by Federico Fellini’s La Dolce Vita, the dress worn by Anita Ekberg in the iconic Trevi Fountain scene.
JLo wasn’t jumping in the fountain so she posed beside one, LOL. Flip through the carousel and she includes a photo of her copying Anita’s pose.
Anita’s dress, designed by Fernanda Gattinoni, was meant to fit her like skin, make her look like a goddess, desired and indulgent and excessive. There’s another layer to why JLo was so perfect to perform the tribute. And there’s more – La Dolce Vita, after all, is the film that originated the word “paparazzi”, from the character called Paparazzo, a photographer. For almost 30 years, JLo has been one of the most papped women on the planet.
She was just papped today in Milan since fashion week just started, so she’s still in town for more events. In an extremely JLo in Italy outfit, animal print from head-to-toe… plus furniture.

Have you heard about the iced coffee to an interview debate? Gen Z online are arguing that it should be fine to bring one to an interview at a Fortune 500 company. Others are saying that you can go an hour without the iced coffee leaving condensation on a glass table. Oh wait, that’s me. My issue with this situation is that it’s a specific kind of workplace, as shared by the recruiter for these specific workplaces. And I’m not sure why it’s so hard to understand that at those specific types of companies, the person who wants a job there might do more to understand the expectations and the culture, if they want to part of it so badly.
