Well... it’s a Michael Bay movie.

Transformers 3 continues to shoot in Chicago – here’s Shia LaBeouf in a suit taking a break on set yesterday. So cute. Also Patrick Dempsey and Shia earlier in July and on the weekend shooting a post-destruction scene. They have similar hair, non?

Yeah Patrick Dempsey is in this mess too. Along with John Malkovich and Frances McDormand...what? It’s almost as though Bay decided that good actors can compensate for the absence of a script. And I’m not against the franchise either. I actually liked the first one. But the second, Jesus, was probably the most infuriating sh-t ever. Why was it so f-cking LONG??? This is what happens when Bay’s ego dwarfs the world.

As for Patrick, interestingly enough, his character was originally supposed to be Mikaela’s boss, a shady character. Then, um, Mikaela got fired. Like a month before shooting started. Maybe now they just transferred and made him Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s boss instead. Well that was easy. And that’s the point.
