As you’re all probably aware by now if you make the gossip rounds, Javier and Penelope tied the knot earlier this month in the Bahamas. A small ceremony kept pretty low key. That’s how Penelope rolls. They were photographed in Hawaii on Monday as she preps for the new Pirates movie.

This wedding marks a sad day for me. Not that the Freebie 5 must consist of single people. It is, after all, a no-strings dream list and marital status shouldn’t have any bearing on whether or not someone makes it or stays on the list. But I’m sure you can all relate to feeling a little disappointed when one of your hotties gets married or hooks up, like there a small closing of a door that was never really open anyway. But one can dream. And now that she’s really taken, do I need to reevaluate her inclusion on this hallowed list? Would Marion ever come off for that reason? Probably not. So she stays for now. But I sense that I’ll need to watch her garden scene from Vicky Christina Barcelona to remind myself of why she’s there.

On a related note, I have been accused of not including moms on the list, and also of not having any blondes on it. Not conscious decisions on my part, but when I look at it now…Marion, Penelope, Portman, McAdams, and Bilson…the points hold true.
