Dear Gossips,

Thanks again for your patience and understanding the last couple of days as we’ve tried to work through the cyber attack on our site. Service should be fully restored now. If you are still experiencing problems, please email [email protected]. Now let’s get back to business as usual. We haven’t talked about Prince Andrew yet this week.

Life is really hard for Prince Andrew right now. After fumbling and bumbling his way through his BBC Newsnight interview and talking about his defective sweat glands and rationalising his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein, the dead rapist pedophile, he’s been made to step away from public duty, the shame of the British royal family. Earlier this week it was reported that he still intends to join the royal family in Sandringham as they walk to church on Christmas Day. They’re calling it a “litmus test of the public mood”. As if they’re going to boo him on Christmas Day in the presence of the Queen. That’s not a “litmus test”, it’s a protective shield. His mother is his moat now.

Still, have you heard? Andrew is sad. In a new interview with Vogue Arabia, Sarah Ferguson revealed how hard all of this has been on him. In response to a question about mental health, Fergie said that:

“It’s interesting that you say that. When I talk about Prince Andrew, I talk about family because the last six months have been hard on the girls and me. To see such a wonderful man go through such enormous pain. He is the best man I know. It’s just incredible what he has done for Britain, and it’s all nonsense [her voice raises as she alludes to the Epstein scandal], so I talk about familyhood, and I’m very strong about it. The mental health of men is important and I think it is vital to articulate that more.”

Meanwhile, Virginia Roberts Giuffre posted a message on Twitter warning her followers that she’s not suicidal but that “evil people” wanted to silence her and if something happened, we should consider it highly suspicious. Virginia is one of the many women who was sex trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein, the dead rapist pedophile, to his wealthy and influential friends. She was 17 years old when a photograph was taken of her with Prince Andrew, his arm around her waist, at the London home of Epstein’s girlfriend and alleged madam Ghislaine Maxwell. She says that after the photo was taken, she was ordered to sexually service Andrew, the first of three incidents. Virginia is clearly a bother for some people.

For years Virginia has been trying to get people to consider her story, to investigate what Epstein and his enablers were getting away with. Which means that for years she’s been a pain in the ass for some people. It’s no surprise then that she’s being threatened. Who’s going to be her moat?

Have a great weekend!

Yours in gossip,

Lainey
