Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are now in Australia ahead of the Invictus Games. You remember what happened last year at the Invictus Games in Toronto? This:
It was their public debut. We knew they were dating. But they’d yet to step out together in any official capacity. That was the moment they chose so as to maximise coverage, to use the enormous interest in their relationship as a way to leverage more interest in the Games. He is, after all, his mother’s son. Diana knew how to do this. And of course Meghan is of Hollywood. She understands the game too.
Now, a year later, another Invictus Games, their first overseas tour, and after weeks of speculation, it is now confirmed: Prince Harry and Royal Meghan are expecting. Not that there wasn’t already going to be attention on the trip but now there’s even more – because so far, even though they were photographed arriving, we’ve not yet had any shots of … you know. She was holding a binder in front of her body when they landed today. The Sussexes know better than to give up that kind of image on the first day. This is a long tour. They’ll space it out. They know the announcement today is enough.
