Priyanka Chopra married Nick Jonas on December 1 in a Christian ceremony. They married again the next day in a Hindu ceremony. On December 4 there was another reception in New Delhi. In between and after they attended parties and other people’s weddings and there was a honeymoon. Today there was another wedding reception for them in Mumbai. There are relatives and friends all over who can’t travel or different groups of friends and family who may need to be hosted at separate events. So these two are going to keep getting married all month, get married to each other as much as possible. In Chinese culture it’s good luck to keep celebrating, to generate and be around and receive as much good will as you can. Sometimes, you just want to keep partying. Or bride-ing and grooming.

I know people like this. I may have even been that person. The one who finds any excuse to keep reliving the wedding. My friend Danielle, who is the host of etalk, wore white the entire year after her wedding. At a certain point we were, like, enough already. Priyanka and Nick aren’t even three weeks in. The key is that they both, equally, seem to be as into getting married so much as the other.

According to E!, here’s what Priyanka said to the guests:

"It means so much to us that all of you came tonight. This has been an extremely special chapter in my life and I wanted my husband to meet all of the special people that have contributed to it. So thank you so much for being here, friends of my parents, my mom, who's hosting this wonderful evening, my dad, who I know is here. Thank you so much for coming and giving us your blessings and I hope you have a wonderful time tonight, and this is my husband, Nick Jonas."

And here are Nick’s remarks:

"This is my first show in India (laughs). Thank you all so much for coming out, it wasn't too far from here that I took Madhu [Chopra] out to lunch and asked her if I could marry her daughter. So to be here tonight with all of you the people who have helped shape who she's become means the world to me. And all of you embracing me with such open arms. It's just unbelievable so thank you for that. Tonight is about celebrating and spending some time together."

Right. So when and where is the next wedding? Maybe a reception in New York? Then LA?
