The US Open starts on Sunday. Night tennis!

I have a strong sense of attachment to the US Open. It’s back to school anxiety and excitement. It’s end of summer bbq and always a big blowout of a party before getting ready for a new year.

Here’s Rafael Nadal yesterday at Letterman in advance of the tournament. He’s so cute! Rafa is not going in with a lot of momentum. Nagging injuries, inconsistent play, and oh yeah, a motherf-cking stud by the name of Novak Djokovic who is going into the Open with the best record (just 2 losses all season) since McEnroe in 1984 and the only player with 5 Masters Series victories in a season. Djokovic is heavily favoured. And Rafa is coming in as the #2 seed.

My cousin Cat is a major MAJOR Rafa fangirl. When he’s playing she’ll be on her bbm, sending me stress messages. So this is for her. To enjoy a few stress free days before the tension begins on Sunday.
