Not a huge departure from the Globes – same cut, same length, different colour, I agree the gray is rather drab and but remember, she’s not the main event this year, and she’s definitely not a mother matron campaigning for an Oscar, nor is she a wife fraudulently perpetuating a perfect marriage with a philandering prick of a husband…

 

Anymore.

But despite the muted tones and the understated elegance, there is a sass to Reese Witherspoon that wasn’t there last year. It’s in the smoky eye and the throw of her hips, as she’s posing for a million eager gossips eating up her single status, Reese’s not-so-subtle message: “I’m fit, I’m hot, I’m available, I’m moving on, and up your ass Ryan Phillippe”, though to set the record straight, the moving – at press time anyway – is nowhere near Jake Gyllenhaal.

I’m told those photos on the set of Rendition were blown entirely out of proportion. They had yet to shoot a scene together, they only ran into each other for a costume fitting, and multiple sources involved with the production confirm that they only exchanged a few words before going their separate ways – with no follow up since…but it would be nice, wouldn’t it? Especially since he just said he’s looking for a woman who would be a good mother?

Jake & Reese…non-existent right now, but pray Goddess, let it be so. Source
