Rita Ora and Taika Waititi are reportedly working on a musical about Fyre Festival. This could legitimately be great with the right sense of humour, look how well the documentary was received.
PEOPLE ran an update on Dave Grohl and Jordyn Blum, with sources saying they are “very happy” and she is glad she stuck it out. Judging by the photos, they are together and it doesn’t look like a pap walk, so PEOPLE probably secured the photos and then reached out for a quote.
What sticks out for me is this: Blum is “surrounded by friends who believe in marriage and encouraged her to fight for it.” As adults of a certain age, we all know someone who’s been cheated on, and there’s no standard reaction. For some it’s a dealbreaker, for others it might be a bump. There’s no judging Jordyn for making her choice. What’s curious is she is “surrounded” by people who encouraged her to stay. This is throwing me off. I’m not saying her friends should have been lighting his drum set on fire in the driveway but she is SURROUNDED by people telling her to stay in her marriage? Who are these friends???
Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid cover Vogue for October and it is very fall, with plaid and patchwork. Much prefer the second, smiley cover – it feels like a catalogue (in a good way!). I didn’t know that Kendall and Gigi were this close but it makes sense as they grew up in the same circle. One thing about Gigi is she’s a model’s model, other models love her. She has a great reputation in that regard. It was talked about on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills because she was nice to Lisa Rinna’s daughters backstage at a show, even though their moms had serious beef.
Mindy Cohn hung out with the men from The Pitt. Mindy is a very popular, she is BFFs with so many famous people (take a poke around her Instagram) but she’s pretty low-key about it. I think she is godmother to a few of the Jolie kids as well.
What’s incredibly important about Courteney Cox greeting Bruce Springsteen at the US Open is “Dancing in the Dark”. It went viral before going viral was a thing. I just Googled it and that song came out in 1984. My knees hurt.
It’s pretty interesting how The Rock’s pivot to serious actor has been tied to his artistic pursuits, rather than a timely pivot after Black Adam flopped. His superhero turn was not well-received and was followed by reports of bad behaviour. Is this refocusing a professional necessity, or was his career growing stale because it was misaligned with what he really wanted to do? Hustle culture is a great way to cover up being bored and unfulfilled.
