Robert Pattinson, Suki Waterhouse, Quinta Brunson, Charles Melton attend Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic which has returned to LA after three years

The Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic took place in LA this weekend for the first time in three years, which surprised me because I feel like this is a regular event that pops up in our photo agencies and it is, it just happens in other locations.

As usual, though, when it’s a Veuve Clicquot thing, there was a healthy celebrity presence. And I particularly enjoyed this shot of these four: Robert Pattinson, Suki Waterhouse, Quinta Brunson, and Charles Melton.

It’s been a minute since we’ve talked about Charles. A year ago around this time he was picking up a lot of momentum during last year’s award season for his performance in May December. Ultimately it did not result in an Oscar nomination but it has led to more work. He spent the summer filming Alex Garland’s Warfare alongside a whole crew of the internet’s boyfriends, Noah Centineo, Kit Conner, Will Poulter, Joseph Quinn, and also D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai is playing Ray Mendoza, who previously collaborated with Alex on Civil War and co-wrote and co-directs the new film with him. Given the success of Civil War earlier this year, especially when it started streaming, A24 has high expectations for Warfare. This is a solid follow-up for Charles after his big breakthrough with May December.

He's also getting paid, as he’s also fronting the new Coach campaign.

I know what I’m about to say sounds petty but it was both Charles and Jacob Elordi who were being mentioned during award season last year in supporting roles in their respective films. As we have seen, Jacob gets a lot more attention even though… Charles is right there!

As for Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse, they were also papped out for breakfast with their baby this weekend after getting dressed up for the polo for their first official public appearance since they became parents. It’s been six months or so since their daughter was born and they’ve yet to reveal her name, though that hasn’t stopped TikTok from trying to tell us what the name is. I hope it’s Bella.

And finally, Quinta Brunson’s haircut which I know we already saw last month leading up to the Emmys but it still feels fresh to me, to see her bouncing around in this pixie and the different ways she’s been wearing it.
