Rose Byrne: Globes Best Dressed (Sarah)
I feel so strongly about my best dressed that I claimed her before anyone could speak during our editorial meeting: Rose Byrne.
The dress is custom Chanel, the styling is flawless, the look is stunning.

This dress reminding everyone who remembers of Keira Knightley’s green dress from Atonement, a garment so famous, it has its own Wikipedia entry. I love that dress, I love this dress, I love the shade of bright green against Rose Byrne’s brunette hair, I love the red lipstick, I love it all. She looks classic, beautiful, sexy, and unfussy all at once. The dream! I also really love how much this dress stood out in a sea of black. Byrne popped off the screen every time the camera panned past her.
Byrne won Best Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for laugh riot If I Had Legs I’d Kick You (sarcastic: the film has some darkly funny beats but is overall a total downer about what a huge bummer motherhood is). I do not begrudge Byrne her win, but this is an insane categorization that I am sure was made simply because the film stars Rose Byrne, who stars in such popular comedies as Bridesmaids and Spy, and Conan O’Brien. Just don’t go into Kick thinking you’re going to have a good time, you won’t. It is really good, though.
In her acceptance speech, Byrne thanked her husband, Bobby Cannavale, who was not in attendance because he was at a reptile convention in New Jersey.
I love Byrne and Cannavale, they’re one of those famous couples that just seems equal parts cool and fun (like Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys, or Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz), and now I have a lot of questions about the reptile convention. I feel like this could be a subplot on The Pitt, someone gets bit at a reptile convention. Or maybe I just want to see Bobby Cannavale and Rose Byrne star in a mockumentary about people who hang out at reptile conventions. I have a lot of thoughts and feelings about this. I will be thinking about it all week.
