Sabrina Carpenter has a great laugh
It’s not that I hadn’t heard Sabrina Carpenter’s laugh before, but I just watched over 16 minutes of her laughing and I’m kind of in love with it. Hers is a laugh-giggle, and it’s a laugh you’d describe as “bubbly”, like it gurgles and pops, adorably, and it also suits her, which is something super personal to me because I hate my laugh, when I hear it, I feel like it should be coming out of another body…or maybe it’s that I don’t see my body corresponding to the texture of the sound of my laugh, if that makes sense.
Could just be me but I have a thing about laughter and how it “looks”. When some has an attractive laugh, a laugh that complements them, it’s such a turn on, and conversely a turnoff when it doesn’t. Which probably means that I’ve turned off most of the people in my life.
Adele has a great laugh, it’s her personality. Seth Rogen’s laugh also is 100% him. Eddie Murphy’s obviously is one of the most famous and funny and appealing. Ricky Gervais is close to the worst. Halle Berry’s is SO sexy and cute. And now, Sabrina Carpenter’s is up there for me, it’s irresistible.
She’s laughing non-stop during Day Drinking with Seth Meyers. She’s also really quick and goofy, a great sense of humour, as we already know from her song lyrics. The nickname she gave him sent me, and generally, overall, she comes across here as a great hang, that she’d be someone so fun to hang out with, so game and quippy and lively and not aggressively self-conscious. It’s hard to beat Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers’s Day Drinking for the hilarity, but this one is still an entertaining watch, and will only add to Sabrina’s likeability.
There is PERSONALITY here. Also attached – Sabrina in New York after lunch yesterday…laughing!
What else happened today…
You know where there is a dearth of personality? Tech bros. They’re trying to artificially intelligence some spark but it’s really just cringe – which, I suppose, is natural and not digital. So there’s that? (Pajiba)
Sarah’s review of Is This Thing On? will be posted later this week. Until then, here’s Kathleen’s interview with Andra Day and did a great “bothered or unbothered” speed round with her. (Refinery 29)
I love Laufey, I won’t hear a negative word about her and this dress and these shoes suit her perfectly. The hair too. (Go Fug Yourself)
Ben Affleck will spend Christmas where you think he’ll spend Christmas and I feel like we are being told this because there will be another round of rumours about him getting back together with Jennifer Garner. (Celebitchy)
I’m not trying to start a fight, I swear, but I prefer Becca Tilley and Hayley Kiyoko’s engagement photos more than TNT’s. For starters, you can’t beat the location: Kyoto! (Autostraddle)
