Saniyya Sidney’s first Oscar dress was perfect. I don’t think she’ll look back on this with regret. The colours are so pretty on her, the fit is terrific, and she just looks so happy to be there. I hope she gets to go back someday soon. Also, totally agree, David Oyelowo’s suit was one of the highlights of the night. You could always see him! (Go Fug Yourself)

So after last night’s show, what is the status of Sean Penn’s Oscar? And did he mean both or just one?  (Dlisted)

Turning Red is winning where it counts, which is why some people are so afraid of it. And that’s why it’s done its job, representing the voice of young girls. Because we know what young women are capable of – that’s the truth behind the fear. (Pajiba)

I really loved Maggie Gyllenhaal’s look at the Oscars last night. It was Schiaparelli and there was no other dress like it on the carpet, which is what made it so special. And so perfect for her style lane. This is the kind of style flair that I was looking for from Nicole Kidman – and Maggie ended up bringing it. (Cele|bitchy)
