Saoirse, Stella, and Jack go for a walk

A couple of weeks ago I posted some photos of Jack Lowden heading to the grocery store looking tired and I wondered whether it was work fatigue or newborn fatigue. We now have an answer. Jack and Saoirse Ronan went for a walk in London this weekend with their dog, Stella. So it’s not just Rihanna giving us pregnancy updates!

As previously mentioned, Saoirse stars in Jonatan Etzler’s film, Bad Apples, which is world premiering at TIFF on the first weekend of the festival. I haven’t seen the TIFF guest list press release yet so it’ll be interesting to see if she comes or if she’ll stay home. After TIFF, Bad Apples is also screening at the San Sebastian Film Festival and the BFI London Film Festival in early October. 

As for Jack, he’s been working on Netflix’s Pride & Prejudice but also might have some promo coming up soon for season five of Slow Horses, premiering September 24. I have a confession: I’ve already binged it because it’s in my media screener account and now I’m mad at myself because if they follow their usual schedule, it’ll be a whole ass f-cking year before season six which, by the way, they’ve already shot. Production on season seven is starting this fall, probably as soon as Jack wraps on P&P. That’s another reason why Slow Horses is so great. The storytelling and the acting are exceptional, but it’s also the efficiency!

I’m sure we’ve all complained at one point or another about whatever show making us wait two years between seasons and here’s Slow Horses rolling out five seasons in three years without compromising quality! And guaranteeing us two more without delay! If I were voting for the Emmys, I’d give it to them based just on this. 

Now let’s end with a note on Stella because the paps did her dirty and didn’t include her in many of these photos. Here’s one of my favourite celebrity dog moments of all time – when Stella was a baby and needed to be carried around by her humans in the rain. Look at that face!
