It’s not just these photos; in most photos it’s easy to assume that Sarah Jessica Parker demonstrably worships Matthew Broderick’s talent and is happy to let him know, like, all the time. Here she is last night gazing at him proudly at the premiere of his new musical Nice Work If You Can Get It. Maybe she’s just feeling protective of him. The reviews of his performance have been... OK. While The Hollywood Reporter was most positive, the NY Times didn’t quite believe him, and the LA Times went super harsh, calling him the “dead spot” in the production.

Still, Broderick, as always, looks so pleased to be supported by his wife, don’t you think? Like totally thrilled that she’s there, non? Look at him matching the earnestness and devotion in her kiss with his own, um, enthusiasm.

God it’s so uncomfortable I have to turn away.
