Life after Shiv Roy is looking great for Sarah Snook who won an Olivier Award this weekend in what might be the best dress she’s ever worn, at least in my opinion. It’s black, the sleeves are STUNNING – dramatic and sexy, a little dark, a hint of danger. Shiv would have never. But she’s behind us now, stuck in her gilded cage, while Sarah, clearly, is finding her style groove. (GoFugYourself)
Nicole Scherzinger also won an Olivier Award – the Pussycat can act! Her acceptance speech was… well… it involved squats and Hannah Waddingham. (Vulture)
Today in Not Everyone in Hollywood is an Asshole – and this is not a show we see often, in fact it barely airs – Drew Carey was honoured at the Writers Guild Awards for his kindness and his decency and I actually didn’t know this much about him so now that I do know, he’s my favourite and he should be protected forever. Francesca Amewudah is playing Juliet opposite Tom Holland’s Romeo in the new West End production of Romeo & Juliet. And unfortunately but not surprisingly, some people are being horrible about it. Probably the same people who insist that there’s no racism in England. And, as Banseka Kayembe writes, they also don’t get Shakespeare. (Refinery29)
TJ Holmes and Amy Robach keep telling us things we don’t want to know. Or at least I don’t want to know. Why would I have ever wanted to know that he misses her when she’s in the bathroom? I know all relationships are different. Some people are better when they are together 24/7. It couldn’t be me. (Celebitchy)
