So I had something else planned for today's column, but I got a delivery yesterday that I've been waiting for so I had to kick my original plan to the curb. OK dudes, I'm so stoked because nothing thrills me more than to give two young powerhouse entrepreneurs some love. Now I know I've been focused on loungewear, but life has no rules anymore so today I'm serving you up some beauty. Say hello to 19/99 Beauty:
The brand just launched and they are delivering a one-two punch with products that are multipurpose to the max: a color pencil and a high shine gloss. Let's kick things off with the pencil because boy oh boy am I in LOVE. This precision pencil comes in the perfect hue of red that you can use on your lips, cheeks and eyes. It's buildable and blendable with a creamy matte finish that will work well across all skin tones. Of course, it looks so great on your lips and cheeks, but what surprised me the most was how much I loved it on my lids. I smudged a bit on and ta-dow the red diffusion brought life and vibrancy. Who the sh-t knew that red on your eyelids could look so rad?!
Next, is the gloss. Once again, you can use it any and everywhere you're looking to turn on some luminosity. I don't know how they did it, but this tube of magic has zero tackiness or stickiness to it. It can be worn alone or layered on top of your makeup to deliver a dose of dew.
There's so much to love about this product duo, but I think what I love the most is the brand's M.O. They are all about celebrating age and diversity, and challenging traditional beauty conventions, hence why they came up with their name because the founders feel beauty is beautiful at all stages of our lives, from ages 19 to 99.
