Ryan Reynolds has been spending some time at home in Vancouver with his family. Last week he was seen at The Cascade on Main and then on Friday night having dinner at an old favourite haunt in Kits. Am told he’s been hanging out with his brother.

Scarlett Johansson meanwhile attended Teen Choice last night looking rather matronly. Like the old days in China. A young girl was allowed to wear their hair in plaits hanging off the shoulder. Once she was married though it was tied up in a bun, almost as though matrimony was branded on her. Not surprisingly, there were no such standards for men.

Sorry…I digress.

Scarlett. Teen Choice. Why?

Vicky Cristina Barcelona drops in a few weeks. In the dead of August, up against Pineapple Express and Tropic Thunder, she’ll have to do more than kiss Penelope Cruz to make a dent at the box office. Or, really, to even matter.
