Scarlett Johansson was on Live! with Kelly and Mark today in New York. This caught my eye because Scarjo doesn’t have a movie to promote right now so, even though I haven’t watched the episode, presumably she was there not on a press tour for a film or series but in support of her skincare line, The Outset.
And, indeed, on the Kelly and Mark website, there’s a link to The Outset on the page. And she namechecks her brand in a reel on the show’s IG account:
Black Friday is coming up. So this is part of Scarjo’s work now – to draw attention to her company and the Black Friday sales that they’re offering during holiday shopping season. That got me thinking about Blake Lively’s Blake Brown haircare and how low profile she’s been in the months since its launch. Was it always intended to be this way or did she have to scale back after the It Ends With Us scandal when the movie came out? Would Blake be out here on the talk show circuit hustling her products like Scarjo if not for that mess?
As for Scarlett’s outfit, I like her in this monochrome autumn brown Max Mara set. You’ll note she mentioned her stylist, Kate Young. I mention this because Kate Young was, at a time, considered one of the top stylists for Hollywood celebrities but there have been departures. Margot Robbie and Selena Gomez were both of her clients and, well, we’ve talked a lot about the improvements in their wardrobes since they respectively started working with Andrew Mukamal and Erin Walsh.
There’s also Jennifer Lawrence who is now styled by Jamie Mizrahi and has never looked better. JLaw was out in New York yesterday with her husband Cooke Maroney for a double date with Sienna Miller and her partner, Oli Green. Some parts of social media seemed surprised by this, forgetting that Jennifer and Sienna have been friends for a while, Sienna was at JLaw’s wedding five years ago.
Anyway, interestingly enough, Kate Young is/was also Sienna’s stylist. I say is/was because I haven’t been able to find a Sienna style credit in a while and also her name isn’t listed anymore on Kate’s agency page where the main photo attached is Scarjo’s. I’m curious, though, the next time she attends a major event who the stylist credit will go to. And if it ends up being Jamie Mizrahi who also styles Adele, and we know how close JLaw and Adele are.
