Yesterday’s best dressed went to Jennifer Lawrence (Lainey) Tessa Thompson (Duana) and Rose Byrne (Sarah). I regret to inform you that my pick is Kylie Jenner. She ate and I don’t even like most gold dresses.

I sent this to Lainey last night and have not stopped cackling over it. I expect good stuff from The Daily Show, but this exceeded my expectations.

I’ve never liked “showmance” gossip because, especially since social media exploded, it’s just a very easy way to dismiss any famous couple. But most of the time, the accusation doesn’t make sense. I think there’s a nuance between liking the attention being in a couple brings and actually faking a relationship. There are also some extremely dumb examples, like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce – WHY WOULD TAYLOR SWIFT NEED ANYONE TO MAKE HER MORE FAMOUS?!!!! She is incredibly successful and famous either way, there would be zero upside for her. Then there’s Nick and Priyanka Jonas, who have been married for seven years and have a child together. As this tweet points out, what would be the benefit of that? It wouldn’t materially change their level of fame, not in the slightest. It is so stupid!!!!

Rihanna commented, “Wait! So I’m not crazy then? Bet!” on a reel Love Island’s Montana Rose Brown made about getting pregnant in 2026. It’s Rihanna so people immediately jumped all over asking for an album, but have we not learned after 10 years that begging and pleading in the comments will not help that cause. If anything, I think she enjoys trolling people about it.

Sarah wrote about the Best Actor race, which is shaping up to be a race between Timothée Chalamet and Wagner Moura. I agree. I noted last week that Lupita Nyong’o was hyping Wagner and just yesterday, Brian Tyree Henry posted this. Assuming they both get the nod, who are you picking in your Oscar pool?
