It broke last week that Shia LaBeouf and his Wall Street 2 co-star Carey Mulligan are dating. I commented that that seemed a little premature. Obviously not. Here they are holding hands today in New York. And Shia actually looks unmiserable.

Hollywood has a brand new power couple. Love them together.

Shia, as you know, fronts a mega franchise, is attached to another (Indy Jones), and has the very powerful backing of Steven Spielberg. If he doesn’t try to kill anyone again by getting behind the wheel drunk, Shia will always work. He has the talent, the charisma, the connections, and box office clout already. Emile Hirsch who?

As for Carey Mulligan – as I mentioned last week - this is the young British actress everyone is talking about, already being hailed as a possible next Kate Winslet for her performance in An Education which will screen at TIFF and for which Carey is considered, already, a Best Actress Oscar candidate. Her performance is said to be extraordinary.

Am posting the trailer again. Sarsgaard is so underrated.
