Shiny happy ladies
It is late! I am tired! I have about twenty minutes until this gummy kicks in and knocks me the f-ck out! So let’s get to it and talk about all the ladies who showed up in shiny dresses at the Oscars, because there were a lot!
First up is waning Best Actress Emma Stone in sparkly custom Louis Vuitton, with the plunging neckline she loves, and her pixie cut sporting a cute little finger wave. Excellent! Love it! Better than her 2024 Best Actress dress! Maybe Oscar dresses are like Oscar performances, and you wear a better one after you win.
And then there was a RACHEL CRIME as Rachels Sennott and Zegler were mixed up on the ABC red carpet feed, which doesn’t make any sense because they don’t look anything alike. Rachels are not a monolith!
Rachel Zegler looking a little different here 🤔

For the record, Rachel Sennott wore sparkly Balenciaga. The dress needs a hoik, she needs some jewelry, and the black tights are a no for me. Also, Barbie pink just feels tired after the exhaustive Barbie year + awards season.
Rachel Zegler, meanwhile, donned dishwater Dior with sudsy sparkles. I guess she’s getting ready for Snow White by dressing like a kitchen chore? Seems more like a Cinderella thing.

Ana de Armas is ready for all you can eat crab legs in a black gown with a FANCY DOILY around her neck:
And Mindy Kaling wore Oscar de la Renta and a low pony. I really like the textural quality of this dress.
Brazilian actor Fernanda Torres wore custom beaded Chanel:
Lily-Rose Depp, who looked varying degrees of bored and mad to be at the Oscars in a depressing return of ironic detachment, also wore custom Chanel:
Fernanda got the better Chanel, argue with a wall because you can’t argue with me because I am asleep!
