We’re back!

The first episode of Season 3 of the Show Your Work podcast is now available. And look – we have new artwork! We are so honoured to have a Paco May original in our likeness – thank you Paco! Paco’s been showing his work too. His illustrations were just featured in The Booth at the BET Hip Hop Awards – check out his Instagram to see more.

Thanks also to all of you for your messages during our hiatus. We are so grateful that you care and we’re lucky too because the day that we were scheduled to record this episode was also the day that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced that they are expecting, just as they kicked off their first major royal tour. We get into some of the work that will go into the tour and compare it to the work on a Hollywood press tour – the planning, the itinerary, the staffing, and the celebrity considerations. There’s also a challenge which allows us to come back to the tour in a couple of weeks and grade it.

From royals to stars, the movie of the moment is A Star is Born. It’s a classic Hollywood story. It’s a story as old as time. A familiar story. A tragic love story. But also? ASIB is a WORK story. Just like Hamilton is a work story. Yes, of course, she does. Duana goes there. Where does ASIB meet Hamilton more than it meets, say, The Bodyguard

Finally… as promised… the story of my awkward as f-ck interview with Jake Gyllenhaal at TIFF. It’s a work story. It’s about the choices we make at work and the power imbalance on a red carpet. And about naming the losses we take at work.

Once again, thank you for your support of Show Your Work. We are excited about this season. We have a lot planned. We look forward to hearing more about your work. We are honoured that you love work talk just as much as we do.
