I just finished The Engagements, a fictional telling of the story behind the real woman who coined the phrase “a diamond is forever.” Reese Witherspoon is turning the book into a movie… and I could totally see Allison Williams in it. Not as Frances, but maybe Evelyn, the wealthy schoolteacher scandalized by her son’s divorce.

Chelsea Handler is coming back to TV… but does anyone care? She doesn’t feel like a part of the late night conversation. There is just so much competition with talk shows. I don’t remember her name being floated as a replacement for Jon Stewart, and it seems like everyone’s name came up at some point. Maybe she already had her Netflix deal signed? She does have one big celebrity advantage: she can book all her friends. She’s been friend collecting for years.
