The new issue of Star Magazine is about how Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello are getting a divorce because she cheated on him recently in Rome. That is not what this post is about. This post is about Sofia’s response to the story.

The editor of this magazine is an idiot😂if he is going to have my ring removed to created a "fake" "news" he should have made sure that he removed from social media all the other pictures of that award night in Rome where Im wearing it. By the way...thats my friend the producer of the movie Bent that I was shooting in Rome and who came to spend Easter at my home the week later.#Starmagazinebullies #goinventsh*itaboutyourmother

It’s a pretty thorough fact check of Star’s story which doesn’t hold up if it’s based on whatever happened at that event in Rome and the presence of a ring. But whatever. That’s not even the best part. The best part, obviously, is #goinventsh*taboutyourmother.

I mean there are comebacks. And then there are comebacks that are so on-brand. This is as on-brand of a celebrity comeback as we’ve seen.

Also, please note it’s Star Magazine. And, related to today’s open, Star is owned AMI, which also publishes The National Enquirer, Radar Online, and now US Weekly. They get one story right a year. Doesn’t look like it’s going to be this one.

Here's Sofia at a Modern Family event last night in LA.
