Sterling and teal
Matching your outfit to the background doesn’t work out for everyone… but it’s working for Sterling K Brown, in teal last night at the premiere of Paradise season two, streaming on February 23. I mean, it looks like teal to me, you might call it something else. But the point is it’s coordinated with the poster and I don’t hate it. First of all, it’s just such a fresh shade. And the monochrome of the whole look makes it even fresher.
Paradise is one of the shows my husband, Jacek, and I watch together. I remember last year we were medium when we first hit play, not knowing much, intrigued by the trailer but it was on a night where we were just looking for something to do. And by the end of the pilot we were all the way f-cking in and had to hold ourselves back from burning through too many episodes so that we’d still have more in the bank every week.
Sterling, as usual, is great on the show. James Mardsen too. And then there’s Julianne, sinister and, at the same time, sexy? Or is it just me? She looked sexy AF last night on the carpet, I am obsessed with this dress.

Boxy fit on the top, drop waist, and an asymmetrical skirt – it’s comfortable and classic and SO chic. We’ve been sleeping on Julianne Nicholson’s style, my bad.
What else happened today…
I’ve been distracted all day waiting for the gold medal hockey game to start at the Olympics. Am currently watching it as I write this. But took a break during intermission to read Kayleigh Donaldson’s piece on the hilarious curling controversy which has delighted me for days. Curling is big in Canada so, actually, this is very on trend, LOL FOREVER. (Pajiba)
Margaret Qualley in sparkly red Chanel that you probably wouldn’t have thought was Chanel a year ago. (Go Fug Yourself)
MUST READ: Jordan Ritter Conn “Inside the Hidden Network of Resistance in Minneapolis”, the people who are showing up every day for their neighbours, for their communities, sometimes at great inconvenience, often at great peril. It’s powerful, it’s courage, and it’s humanity – in the face of those who have betrayed it. (The Ringer)
The internet dragged Jason Bateman a couple of weeks ago for assuming that Charli XCX would want to be a parent one day – and he definitely heard about it. He often sounds sarcastic when he speaks, I wonder what the tone of this comment is. (Celebitchy)
Jennifer Aniston and the Friends x “Wuthering Heights” crossover. (EW)
