Dear Gossips,
It was a long weekend in Canada and I also took Friday and today off of my TV jobs so you’d think I’d be more well-rested. You know who never rests? No, no, I’m not talking about Kris Jenner. That expression, “the devil works hard but Kris Jenner works harder”, should now be replaced – by a force for good! BTS, of course.
Their Map of the Soul ON:E back-to-back concerts over two nights this weekend meant that those of us who aren’t in the East Asian time zone pulled all-nighters and are still recovering. I’ll write more about Map of the Soul ON:E later, but despite the massive success of the weekend event, that’s not even the latest news on the band.
Billboard released the latest Hot 100 chart positions yesterday – the current #1 song on the Hot 100 is the “Savage Love” remix featuring BTS. Remember what I said a couple of weeks ago when the collaboration was announced? And their motivation for doing it? Let me just quote myself since, as established, BTS has made me too tired to come up with fresh words:
“I mean, obviously, we know what Jason Derulo gets out of working with BTS but what does BTS get out of doing this remix? They already have the #1 single on the charts with “Dynamite”. Their new album is coming out in November. They’re prepping for their upcoming online concert Map of the Soul ON:E. So it’s not like they’re sitting around looking for sh-t to do.
Then again, this is happening during the first round of Grammy nomination consideration. And displaying all this versatility isn’t a bad move, especially if they can take a song that’s already a hit… and make it an even BIGGER hit with their involvement. This, as the kids say, would be some swagger.”
“Savage Love”, before BTS’s involvement, had already peaked at #7 or #8 on the charts. BTS came on board for the remix and now it’s the champion. And what’s the #2 song behind it? That would be BTS’s smash hit “Dynamite”. They currently own the top two songs on the Billboard 100.

There’s no time to celebrate though. BTS will be performing during the Billboard Music Awards tomorrow night and will likely win at least one award. And we are just over a month away from the release of their new album, BE, in November.
By BTS standards, the devil and Kris Jenner are lazy AF.
