Sydney and Amanda glam it up

Amanda Seyfried and Sydney Sweeney hit the red carpet last night for the premiere of The Housemaid, a new film from director Paul Feig. 

It’s described as a psychological thriller (and is based on a book by Freida McFadden), but the trailer gives me A Simple Favor vibes, and that film is as much a comedy as it is a thriller.

 

Sydney Sweeney showed up doing her usual bombshell thing (in custom Miu Miu), though I don’t hate this look. In fact, I think it’s one of her better red carpet appearances of late. It’s super boob forward, but that is just Sweeney’s style. The girls will always be out.

Amanda Seyfried, meanwhile, is sporting a pink Versace gown with lowkey Seventies vibes. Feels like a very spring choice for December, but the color is beautiful on Seyfried.

The film also co-stars Brandon Sklenar, who is one of those guys who just never looks like he’s having fun. I have a theory that now more than ever, the dudes who really succeed in Hollywood are the ones who seem fun to audiences. Dour Dannys aren’t getting much traction these days.

Also, I feel compelled to inform you that PEOPLE is claiming, via “exclusive sources”, that hell born couple Sydney Sweeny and Scooter Braun are still “going strong”. Given that PEOPLE is and always has been one of the most celebrity friendly outlets there are, I assume this is coming from either his or her camp. I’m guessing his. Scooter Braun seems like exactly the kind of guy who wants other guys to know who he’s banging. Frankly, I am into this pairing because they seem perfectly suited for one another. They’re both into hustle culture and hashtag grind life, they’re both obviously all about the bag. I’m not even dragging them, I fully support those types dating each other and sparing the rest of us. 

Also also, Amanda and Sydney can hold hands on the red carpet all they want, you will never convince me these women are actually friends. They’ve just been Wicked-pilled into selling it on the red carpet.
