Gigi Hadid and Taylor Swift had dinner last night, an autumnal tradition. Fall wouldn’t be fall if Gigi and Taylor weren’t getting papped in seasonal fashion in New York City outside a trendy restaurant. Taylor looks really pretty here with her hair blown out and this is a great oversized peacoat, I love it on her, and the kilt underneath is a Swift signature.

The boots though…

Snake print Stella McCartney square toe and I hate them. You will never convince me that this is a good shoe shape because a pointed or a round toe would be better in every situation, including this one.

In other Taylor news, every other day there’s a new rumour about her wedding. The latest is that streaming services could be offering up to $70 million to broadcast her wedding. I mean, I understand why the media outlets would want to negotiate this kind of deal with her, so I buy that someone is pitching it, but that’s not really what’s newsworthy. What would be newsworthy is whether or not she would actually agree to pay-per-view her wedding.

On the one hand, it would be commercialising her private life. On the other hand, most if not all pay-per-view programming is sporting events. There would be a certain flex to pay-per-viewing a wedding, and maybe even outselling the usual violence that PPV is usually reserved for. Could the Swift metaverse + the wedding industrial complex be bigger than MMA and boxing? I’d actually love to see it.

For now, though, this belongs in the category of bullsh-tting any speculation for Taylor traffic, and totally unserious. So let’s talk about Gigi’s fit instead. Because even though Taylor’s peacoat is very good, Gigi’s matted fur trench is a showstopper. This coat is a f-cking dream and it looks like the one she’s had in her closet since at least 2022.

While we’re on the topic of Gigi’s clothing though, Guest in Residence, her luxury knitwear label, is one of my favourite celebrity fashion brands. She specialises in sweaters, really cute sweaters. Guest in Residence’s latest collaboration is with Bonpoint, announced just a few weeks ago, and this killed me because it’s children’s clothing but I want several pieces. The piece I want the most is the Liberte jacket (please note, this is an affiliate link). It’s a cardigan and varsity at the same time. WHYYYYYYY can’t it come in adult size?!
