As mentioned in my previous post about the Emmys, since voting begins today, most of the shows in contention were out on the campaign trail this weekend. We’ve talked briefly about the dramas category, now it’s comedy’s turn and the show with the most comedy nominations and therefore the presumptive frontrunner is The Studio. Seth Rogen, Bryan Cranston, Kathryn Hahn, Chase Sui Wonders, and Dave Franco, with producer James Weaver, were all at a FYC event on Saturday to get in some face time with the Television Academy. But where’s Ike Barinholtz?! Sal Saperstein! If The Studio wins, will they all just keep shouting “Sal Saperstein” from the stage?

The reigning Outstanding Comedy Emmy winner is Hacks. And while as the freshman entry, The Studio is getting a lot of attention, we can never discount Hacks. The Hacks team, minus Jean Smart, was also at the Television Academy event this weekend and the HBO Max celebration. And I very much appreciate Hannah Einbinder making it obvious what they were doing there… with her ass. It really does look great in this dress.

The attendee who surprised me the most, though, is Harrison Ford. Mr Grumps actually showed up to hustle for an Emmy? It’s his first nomination for his work in Shrinking and I will forever be grateful to this show for connecting him with Jessica Williams. They are magic together, and she mentions in this post from this weekend’s campaigning that, well, she really missed getting on his nerves. He is so done with her, LOL. (Scroll through the carousel.)

Both Jessica and Harrison are nominated in the supporting categories and both of their categories are stacked. But since he’s Harrison Ford and since virtually everyone in the Television Academy would know him, he probably has a better chance than she does. I hope if he wins he finds a way to yell “Sal Saperstein!” LOL. Both The Studio and Shrinking are Apple titles.

And then there’s Nobody Wants This. Hot Rabbi will be returning for season two in October. Adam Brody, however, was not campaigning with Kristen Bell, Timothy Simons, Jackie Tohn, and Erin Foster this weekend. I don’t see any shots of Erin with the cast though, so the people who have been theorising that some of the actors don’t f-ck with her (Maria) have something else to add to the pile.

Out of everyone there, Jackie’s outfit is my favourite. All this plaid and khaki, the high collar on the top, the layers and length in the skirt, it’s really good. And also I’m partial to the brand, ROKH.

Our stylist at ETALK has pulled several ROKH pieces for me this year for the show so I can confirm that Jackie’s fit (not yet available) isn’t a one-off. ROKH is known for structure and silhouette. I wore this extra long ruffle shirt back in the spring, loved it, and now it’s on sale. Pricey, yes, but the quality and the style make it an investment. You’ll be able to wear it forever.

I also wore this layered, pleated skirt and felt like a rockstar, a little Gwen Stefani plus Emma Stone’s character in Cruella. There’s a small section of it that’s cut blunt and shorter and the effect on a bare leg, or a leg with a sheer tight, is fire. Plus it’s 50% off right now in limited sizes.

And I wanted to keep these wide pleat pants. See how there’s an extra layer that gives the illusion of a pleat but also an apron but also kinda cargo? And how perfectly they stop at the ankle? I love them, and I don’t know why I didn’t buy them after I wore them. But they too, in limited sizes, are over 50% off now.

But to go back to the vibe of Jackie’s fit, the khaki energy of it, kinda like Burberry but with more edge, ROKH is underrated for their coat game. This trench coat is f-cking beautiful. And it’s bubbled at the hem! Also… it’s on sale, and this is a great deal if you’re looking for a fall coat. It comes in black too.
