BLACKPINK made history this weekend as the first K-pop girl group to play Wembley. While on tour this summer, they’ve been doing something different every night for the encore, either taking turns singing on each other’s hits or…you know… when in London, paying tribute to the Spice Girls. The crowd went wild for “Wannabe”, understandably. 

 

While we’re here, though, K-pop is having a massive summer everywhere but especially in the UK. The Kpop Demon Hunters soundtrack is dominating the British charts. “Golden” hit #1 over there before reached the top in the US.

 

Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem were also at a concert the other day: Bad Bunny. This is a few days old but I couldn’t stop watching it because they are having a time! And none of this is cringy to me. But if, like, it was Brad Pitt? I would be demanding to unsee it.

The Love Hypothesis is big on BookTok so now that there’s a movie adaptation, starring Lili Reinhart and Tom Bateman, they’re being fed with teasers on social media. Lili posted a TikTok of Tom lifting her with one arm and it might be her most viewed video ever. But now I’m wondering… does Lili Reinhart watch Chinese dramas? Because the “princess carry” has been a C-drama promotional tool for years and years, and they always find new inventive ways to pull off the carry. This one arm thing that Tom is doing? C-drama actors have been at it for months, maybe years.

Austin Butler’s birthday was yesterday. He’s 34 years old. And spent the day doing press for Caught Stealing in New York. So the cast and crew threw him a party. A sign that they liked working with him because nobody’s showing up on a Sunday to celebrate him if he’s a dick. 

 

Kristen Kish is so f-cking cute. And THAT HAIR. I have so much hair envy. 

 

But even Kristen, just like everyone else, has to put up with farts and feet on a plane. The thing about the farts… like… I get farty sometimes on a plane too. Something about being on a plane bloats me. Which is why I’m usually pretty careful with what I eat before I travel. I do not want to be gassing up the cabin. There’s always one person on the flight though. Always. With the feet too. I don’t wear open-toe shoes out in the wild. I probably wear them in studio once a year. So obviously I’m never getting on a plane in an open-toe. Kristen is like me, because she makes a comment here about socks. YES, EXACTLY. Socks on a plane! Never no socks on a plane and never, for f-cks sake, going to the washroom with no socks and no shoes, WTF?
