The Queen has an online store. And she’s selling condiments. Like ketchup and steak sauce, LOL. What happened to all that talk about the British royals not operating like garden-variety influencers? This is exactly what influencers do! Artisanal ketchup is peak influencer! But if it’s “not royal” to guest-edit a fashion magazine, how royal is it to slap your royal crest on ketchup and encourage people to click it into their shopping cart? (Dlisted)
I really like this new Gaultier collection, especially the spectacular high-collar green dress that kicks off this gallery. But there’s an interesting play on shapes going on here, a consistent thread throughout the pieces. The Fug Girls are predicting that this will go the way of Lady Gaga and I can see that, but Tessa Thompson would also look amazing in some these looks. And definitely JLo. You know who I would put in look #6, though? Black and white kinda zebra print? Kelly Clarkson. (Go Fug Yourself)
Peyton Manning showed up on Saturday Night Live this weekend and it’s not that the jokes were funny, it’s his commitment to the jokes that made them funny. Peyton went for it, as he always does. And that’s why he’s so enjoyable in these settings. He would have made a better Oscar host than James Franco, because at least he tries. (Pajiba)
There’s some snark happening about how Bradley Cooper has been snubbed by the Academy and might get snubbed again this year… which… I mean he’s showing up on a lot of the prediction lists for a Best Supporting Actor nomination for his work in Licorice Pizza and he already has a SAG nomination. For a role that involves mere minutes of screen time. Coop seems to be doing OK among his peers. (Cele|bitchy)
Trayvon Martin was killed nearly ten years ago. His mother, Sybrina Fulton, speaks to Derecka Purnell about her “painful place in American history”. This is a must-read. And a must re-read. (The Cut)
