Last week there was all kinds of speculation that Tiffany Haddish and Common might be over because she went on Instagram to trash some exes and people noticed that Common wasn’t following her, assuming that he UNfollowed her. But at the time of my post about it on Friday, they were actually both following each other. And I received a few notes from people on email and social media that Common never was following Tiffany ever and started following her after people started rumouring that her IG rant was about him and that they were done.
That day, after I posted about them, they actually went on IG live together. And she’s done some interviews since, confirming that they indeed are still dating. Here’s what she told Extra – via PEOPLE:
"I feel like it's gonna work. I haven't felt like this about a relationship ever. We laugh all the time. He's actually really funny. I'm like, 'You should do this comedy movie with me.' He's like, 'I don't want to exploit our relationship' And I'm like, 'Well, I don't want to be in no relationship where we making no money!' "
That just made me want to see this movie, so that we can hear that kind of banter between them, watch it play out onscreen. Or maybe a reality series about them. Oh sorry, we call them “docuseries” now. Whatever. Open up the vault and give all the money and get Tiffany and Common paid for a series about their love. I would watch the sh-t out of that show.
So that’s how we’ll close the loop on this non-story that became a story that shouldn’t have been a story: Tiffany and Common are still a thing – and give them their own series.
