With the exception of the Brange and Depp, all the heavy hitters are in town for Oscar week. It’s when sh-t gets done. And what would a high profile week be without the presence of Tom Cruise reminding us that he’s still relevant?
Tom spoke last night at the 5th Annual Oscar Wilde: Honoring The Irish In Film event, riding up on his bike, all manly mans in his biker jacket, delivering his remarks with trademark intensity and jaw-clenching emphasis. Then he laughed in the audience, as usual, like the jokes he was hearing were the funniest he’s ever heard in his entire life.
He also appears to be growing out his hair. And working a new tan. Oscar time tan!
It’s been 2 years now since Tom “presented” Katie at the post-Oscar Vanity Fair party in 2008, one of the best days of my life, when he introduced their new move to the world – like his bride at the cotillion. They haven’t played the presentation game in a long, long time. Perhaps this year we’ll get a revival.
