Two years into their relationship, Bill Hader and Ali Wong's togetherness is now just a given

In the last post of the day yesterday, I linked to a Pajiba article about Bill Hader’s recent appearance on Conan O’Brien’s podcast about how Lorne Michaels didn’t always get his humour. In that same interview, he also shared details about his experience during the Los Angeles wildfires this year. Bill was actually shooting an SNL50 commercial when he found out that his home was at risk and is now “unlivable”.

He also mentioned that it was Ali Wong who took him shopping for new clothes. Per PEOPLE:

“It is a funny thing that Ali and I went today to just, literally, I had to shop for clothes," Hader, 46, told host Conan O'Brien, 62. "And it was very sweet. She was like, ‘Let’s go get you some jeans.’ ”

“It was very sweet. It meant a lot to me," he added. "Because I’m just wearing Uniqlo sweats and my kids are like, ‘You’re living in your pajamas.’ They’re very worried. And I told her about that, and she was like, ‘Well, let me take you out to get some clothes.’”

Here are Ali and Bill in New York yesterday doing some shopping. Not sure if it was clothes shopping but the point here is that this is one of the first times we’ve heard him talking about her. She of course referred to him in her last comedy special, Single Lady, and it’s not like they hide the fact that they’re together since we’ve seen them at award shows, but neither one is out there doing press all the time and when they do, it doesn’t really come up.

That said, they’ve reached the point in their relationship where it’s not a secret, it’s been about two years since they got serious, and their togetherness, now, is just a given – a good and rare stage for a celebrity couple, when the gossip is that there is no gossip. Which is impossible to say about so many others.
